The Level 2 Diploma in Physical Activity, Fitness and Exercise Science offers learners the opportunity to undertake training which will enable them to gain employment in customer-facing roles in the leisure/gym sector. This also offers a route into further education/training such as Level 3 courses.
Entry Requirements:
This course requires no entry level qualifications.
Units:
To attain this qualification, learners need to complete the six mandatory units (45 credits) and gain a minimum of 20 credits from any of the optional units (65 credits in total).

Level 1 Certificate in Sport and Physical Activity
The Level 1 Certificate in Sport and Physical Activity is targeted towards learners considering a career in the active leisure industry. This qualification can also serve as a route onto Level 2 qualifications as well as apprenticeships in the active leisure industry.
Entry Requirements:
There are no precursor entry requirements to enrol onto this qualification.
Units:
To achieve this qualification, learners must compete all 9 mandatory units. These units are as follows:
- Unit 1- Principles of anatomy and physiology for sport and physical activity.
- Unit 2- Principles of active, healthy living.
- Unit 3- Exploring personal health and fitness.
- Unit 4- Assist in the planning and delivery of a sport or physical activity session.
- Unit 5- Employability and career opportunities in the active leisure sector.
- Unit 6- Applying for an employment opportunity in the active leisure sector.
- Unit 7- Preparing for an interview.
- Unit 8- Developing self.
- Unit 9- Working in active leisure.
